The Healthy Way to Gain Weight
Some people find it difficult to gain weight.† Some tips to try are:
∑ Drink protein-rich beverages (e.g. milk-based fruit shakes).† Have fruit juices between meals.
∑ Munch on nuts and seeds, which are high in calories and many other nutrients.
∑ Avoid large amounts of high-calorie, high-fat foods because they will lead to weight gain and possible health consequences.
∑ Keep physically active so that muscle, and not fat, is gained.
∑ Eat small portions of food throughout the day to help stimulate a poor appetite.† Donít set unrealistic goals by placing a large portion of food on the plate.
∑ Coax the appetite back - don't force it.
